Break the loop

More caffeine isn't more energy. Better sleep is.

The caffeine loop

  • Energy shot at 2 a.m. to survive the slump
  • Jittery, then crashing before the shift ends
  • Home at 7, wired and exhausted at the same time
  • Three or four broken hours of sleep
  • Wake up foggy, reach for more caffeine. Repeat.

The Code Z routine

  • Caffeine cutoff 6+ hours before you plan to sleep
  • 2 capsules, 30 minutes before day sleep
  • Blackout room, cool air, phone face down
  • Longer, deeper sleep, even with the sun up*
  • Wake up clear. No stimulants means nothing to crash from.

Fall asleep faster after your shift*

Wake up clear, not drugged*

Steadier energy through the shift*

Lean on caffeine less*

Questions from the night crew

Straight answers.

When do I take Code Z?
Take 2 capsules with 6–8 oz of water 30–60 minutes before your main sleep, whenever that is. For most night-shift workers that's right after you get home. The free Day Sleep Protocol walks through timing for 12-hour shifts, rotating schedules and days off.
Will I wake up groggy?
Code Z uses a 2 mg dose of melatonin with gentle botanicals, and it's made to be taken at the start of a full sleep. Taking it right before a full block of sleep, not halfway through, is the best way to wake up clear. Everyone responds differently, so try it first on a day when you don't have to drive soon after waking.
Can I drink coffee with it?
Yes, just time it. Research shows caffeine can cut sleep by over an hour even when it's taken 6 hours before bed.¹¹ Set your last cup 6+ hours before you plan to sleep. The protocol includes a cutoff chart for common shifts.
What if my shifts rotate?
Use Code Z before your main sleep block, whether that's 8 a.m. or 11 p.m. The protocol shows how to keep a consistent sleep anchor when your schedule flips.
Can I take it on my days off?
You can take it before any main sleep, whenever you get it. If you plan to use any melatonin supplement long term, check with your doctor.
Is there anything in it that'll make me jittery?
No. There are no stimulants, no caffeine and no proprietary blends, just the seven ingredients listed on the label.
Who shouldn't take Code Z?
Don't use it if you're pregnant or nursing, under 18, or have a medical condition, or if you take medication (especially sedatives, blood thinners or antidepressants), unless your physician says it's OK. Don't drive or operate machinery after taking it, and don't exceed the recommended dose.
Where is it made?
In the USA. Each bottle has 60 capsules, which is 30 servings.
How do I get the free Day Sleep Protocol?
It's included with every order. You'll get access to the PDF guide right after checkout.
